LUCKY DRESS BLACK

沖縄県在住TATTOO ARTIST W-OKI KENTA書き下ろしの『LUCKY』

福助、招き猫、恵比寿さん、芸者、の饅頭、サングヮー等を散りばめた、オリジナルテキスタイル。

の饅頭

饅頭の中央に『の』と記されている、熨斗（のし）の『の』にちなんだ、主に冠婚葬祭に用いられ沖縄県のお饅頭。

サングヮー

バショウやススキなどの葉を輪結びした沖縄のお守り。

病気や事故など、悪霊 がもたらす災いから、家や身を守るため、玄関や家の東西南北四方に付けたり、食べ物の上に置いたりします。

“LUCKY” is drawn by Okinawan TATTOO ARTIST W-OKI KENTA. This pattern features lucky icons “Fukusuke”, “Maneki Neko”,  “Ebisu”, “Geisha”, “No Manju” buns and “Sangwa” charms.

No Manju

No Manju bun with letter “No” in the cener  is mainly used for Okinawan ceremonial occasions.

“No” is taken from “No” of “Noshi”, a kind of ceremonial origami.

 Sangwa

 An Okinawan amulet made with leaves of Eulalia tied together. In order to protect the house and the body from disasters caused by evil spirits such as illness and accidents, it is attached to the entrance and the north, south, east, and west of the house and also placed on food.
